Committed Hours Policy
Workers will receive the percentage of their sales which corresponds with the number of completed work hours. If a worker fails to complete their committed work hours, they will receive applicable incentives for the time they have completed, and will incur a penalty for incomplete hours listed below. Any hours arranged to be made up in future sales are not eligible for re-imbursement of increased sales percentages.
Workers who have missing hours or do not show to their scheduled shift(s) will need to pay for passes used and will be deduced from your check.
$20 per hour missed per pass used.
For example: If you signed up for an 8 hour shift, both of your 8 hr pre-sale passes were used, and you missed 2 hours of your shift: $20 x 2hrs x 2 passes used = $80 penalty. Time can be made up the following season and penalty reimbursed. Contact Work coordinator for scheduling and directions.
Percentages will be paid by your completed hours. For example, if you signed up to be an 8 hour worker but only completed 6, your check will reflect percentage for a 4 hour worker. Percentages are not eligible for make up in following season.
Cancellation/Rescheduling
Workers can cancel or re-schedule their work shift(s) by canceling at least 24 hrs BEFORE their scheduled shift(s). Rescheduling or cancellations made AFTER the 24 hrs from the start of their shift, will be charged a $25 cancellation fee. Commitment
Take your situation into consideration and understand TTT’s policy BEFORE committing to work. Consignors are responsible for contacting TTT for cancellations or re-schedules. We understand last minute emergencies arise, so all workers should have a “Back Up” worker just in case.
Task Eligibility
TTT notes which tasks volunteers do best at, and may switch tasks as deemed necessary. Volunteers can inform TTT of their preferences so that we may increase productivity. Volunteers who stay on their phone, socialize, are rude to customer, or do not complete assigned tasks efficiently will be prohibited from participating. Shopping while volunteering is NOT allowed.
Assignments
Duties vary daily depending on how busy the event is. During slow periods, helpers can be pulled from their scheduled duties to tidy up or any other task that is needed. (Ex: Cashiers may be asked to do return to floors when not busy, etc). Checklists each day are issues to Team Leads and they will instruct their group on downtime projects.
Children
Young children are NOT allowed to accompany workers. Older children whom volunteers wish to teach work habits to are allowed to accompany parents as long as it does not prohibit the efficiency of tasks being completed AND with prior consent from TTT. Their hours will not count toward volunteer hours. The minimum age requirement is now 18 years old to work, unless your teen has previous experience or skills for a particular job with advance approval.
Signing In and Out, and Breaks
It is the worker’s responsibility to sign IN and OUT, including on breaks. Break time does not count towards volunteer hours, and will need to be made up. Short shifts do not include a break period, but can be accomodated upon request and staying over to cover that time.
Worker Checks:
Workers who are sellers may pick up their check during pick up hours. If you are a worker who is only for pay and NOT selling, you can pick up your check between 7p-9p on pick up day. Worker who choose not to pick up their check, will have their check mailed. Accounts with questions, or actions needed, will have their checks mailed once all issues have been resolved. Addresses on file when registering are used for mailing purposes, contact us before pick up day if your address has changed. Worker agrees to cash issued proceed checks within 45 days of the date of the check. Checks will be void after this time. TTT is not responsible for lost checks in the mail, and sellers assume this risk if they choose not to pick their check up. In the circumstance that a check needs to be re-issued due to loss, theft, expiration passing, etc, TTT will charge a $50 Check Cancellation and Re-issue Fee to re-issue lost, misplaced, not received checks, or checks not cashed by their 45 day expiration period. Checks not cashed within the 45 day expiration period are subject to re-issue the following sale season. PLEASE CASH YOUR CHECKS ON TIME!
